A new joint program offered by the departments of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT to prepare naval officers to master the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and apply them to mission-relevant challenges.

A 24-month program leading to a master’s in science in applied artificial intelligence for the Navy.

Designed for naval officers with proven operational experience and strong technical backgrounds.

Learn the core concepts of AI and applications to a range of special topics. Students must take at least 12 classes and complete a thesis.
